Frequently Asked Questions

I cannot scan the QR code!

If you are installing the eSIM directly from your device and you don't have a QR code to scan, you need to proceed with manual installation. You will find here the instructions in our setup guide page.

What exactly does the term eSIM refer to?

An eSIM functions as a digital SIM card that enables you to set up a mobile plan from your carrier without necessitating the use of a physical nano-SIM card.

What steps are involved in activating my eSIM?

To activate your eSIM, follow a straightforward process comprising 3 steps: 1) Specify your desired destination, 2) Opt for a suitable data plan, 3) Scan the QR code using your mobile device.

How does a physical SIM card differ from an eSIM?

While a physical SIM card is a small chip inserted into a phone, an eSIM serves as a digital alternative allowing you to engage a cellular plan through your carrier without the requirement of a physical nano-SIM card.

How can I determine if my phone supports eSIM technology?

Check out our dedicated page listing compatible devices to confirm if your phone can work with eSIM functionality.

Can I receive phone calls or SMS?

If you keep both our eSIM and your primary SIM turned on, you will receive phone calls and SMS on your primary SIM. IMPORANT: You can incur in roaming fees from your carrier. Our eSIM are data only and do not support phone calls or SMS. But you can use apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Viber, etc. to make calls.

Do I need to enable roaming settings?

Yes, the eSIM needs the roaming settings to be enabled. On iPhone devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Roaming > Voice & Data. On Android devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Roaming. IMPORTANT: Make sure to enable the roaming settings ONLY on the eSIM, not on your main SIM, otherwise you will incour in roaming fees.

When I try to install the eSIM I receive error 10014 on my Google Pixel Phone

It means that you already have one eSIM installed on your Pixel. Your phone supports only one eSIM at time, please remove the other eSIM before installing ours.
